Hannah Neugin

Hannah Neugin is a proud citizen of the Cherokee Nation and is currently pursuing a computer science degree at Northeastern State University. Growing up in Lost City, Oklahoma, she developed a strong connection to her heritage, which shaped her academic pursuits.

Graduating as salutatorian of Sequoyah High School in 2023, Hannah demonstrated her commitment to excellence. At NSU, she serves as the Drum Major for the Riverhawks Marching Band and is an active member of the American Indigenous Business Leaders chapter. She is also a Gates Scholar and a scholarship recipient of NSU’s President’s Leadership Class.

In addition to her academic and musical pursuits, Hannah is a member of the Tribal Youth Council, where she seeks to become more involved in the Cherokee Nation and serve her community. This past summer, she participated as a youth rider in the Remember the Removal bike ride, an experience that deepened her connection to Cherokee culture and strengthened her commitment to advocacy. Through her journey in technology and cultural preservation, Hannah continues to inspire those around her.
