Jeremy Hamilton, a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, grew up in the small community of Proctor, OK attending Maryetta Grade School (Stilwell) and Sequoyah High School (Tahlequah), and is now a Global Director of Technology for BMC Software.
After high school, Jeremy attended Fort Lewis College in Durango Colorado, earning a Bachelor of Science and Engineering/Physics, becoming the first graduate of that degree program. While working for IBM Research, Jeremy completed a Master of Science in Information Systems, becoming the first Native American to graduate from the Santa Clara University’s graduate business program. Jeremy now is responsible for the global verticals strategy at BMC Software working with a majority of the Fortune 100 companies.
Having lived in various major cities across the US, Jeremy remained active in the Native American community through Cherokee satellite groups such as the Colorado Cherokee Circle, Cherokee Society of the Greater Bay Area, and the Georgia Cherokee Community Alliance. He has also has been very active with the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES), currently serving as Secretary for the Oklahoma Professional of AISES.
Jeremy brings passion and tenacity to everything he does and looks to lead others by example. For fun, Jeremy stays active through weight training, softball, golf, trail running, hunting, and how adds cycling to that list.
